LAS VEGAS (June 16,
2006) – In two short years, Casino Marketing has grown into one of
the premier conferences in the gaming industry, attracting the most
creative marketing minds from commercial, tribal, local and
mega-casinos throughout North America and around the globe. Last
year, 350 attendees came from 30 U.S. states, six Canadian
provinces, and from Australia, Austria, Costa Rica, Russia, South
Africa and the Ukraine.
The depth of educational
opportunities, the fun, creative environment and big-name keynote
speakers are among the numerous reasons for this conference’s
fast-growing popularity. This year’s exceptional conference lineup
is led by two outstanding keynote speakers:
Jan Jones, Senior Vice
President of Communication and Government Relations, Harrah’s
Entertainment, Inc. Jan Jones is one of the most senior and
influential female executives in the gaming industry. The former
mayor of Las Vegas oversees government relations, public relations,
community relations, code of commitment and responsible gaming
programs for more than 40 Harrah’s casinos in 12 states. In her
opening night address, she we talk about how Harrah’s builds
community support (and overcomes community opposition) in the
markets in which it operates, offering tactics and strategies that
casino marketers can use to position their own casinos as value
adding entertainment experiences for the communities in which they
do business.
Tim Gard, CSP, Comic
Vision. This nationally recognized humorist and casino marketing,
will provide the July 20 keynote address, “Developing a Comic
Vision.” He is an authority on stress reduction through humor. His
clients have included IBM, the U.S. Army, Kodak, United Way,
Citicorp, Kroger Company, Wells Fargo and Qantas Airlines. He will
teach Casino Marketing 2006 attendees how and why they should choose
to harness laughter to avoid stress.
Two other popular Casino
Marketing features return in 2006: The presentation of the Romero
Awards - Recognizing Excellence In Casino Marketing, the morning of
July 20; and the July 19 Lifetime Achievement Awards luncheon,
honoring Bill Harrah, the pioneer and founder of Harrah’s, and Phil
Satre, the past Harrah’s CEO.
